Successful completion of QQI Level 5 Childcare Award, or relevant work experience, followed by interview with course tutors.
Students Work Experience can take place in daycare nursery, creche, preschool/afterschool facility for two days each week and for blocks of one and two weeks throughout the year.
This Supervision in Childcare course is designed to prepare students to work competently, safely and effectively with young children. It promotes child play and development. Having successfully completed the year, students can progress to a supervisory role within a childcare setting and to higher education and training awards. This course is delivered through a blended learning approach which is a combination of classroom and online learning. Each student must allocate four hours per week for online learning at a time that is suitable to them.
Course requirements for Blended learning
Each student participating in the blended learning course must have:
Access to the use of a laptop/PC/tablet
Google Chrome is the recommended browser
Good internet connection.
