COMPUTER & BUSINESS STUDIES(Course
no. 132) Duration: One year full-time course - FETAC Level 5 Award BBSXX
Aims This course prepares students for direct entry to employment in the Computer Business Sectors. Students develop a high level of competency in Word Processing, Database, Spreadsheets, text production and accounts. It is also structured with a view to students progressing to the more specialised programmes in computers
and business.
Entry Requirements Leaving Certificate standard including
Leaving Certificate Applied. All applicants will be interviewed.

Future Prospects Students who attain their full FETAC level 5 award will have a opportunity to join the Advance Certificate in Administration Course - FETAC Level 6 at Marino College. Successful students will have the skills to meet the
demands of the modern office and will be in a position to seek employment in a
wide range of organisations such as Banks, Commercial Companies, Local Authority
Offices and Hospitals. Also in recent years students are using this course to progress
to other Third Level courses especially in the Dublin Institute of Technology and National College of Ireland in order to obtain a Business Degree.
