This course prepares students for direct entry to employment in the Computer Business Sectors. Students develop a high level of competency in Word Processing, Database, Spreadsheets, text production and accounts. It is also structured with a view to students progressing to the more specialised diplomas/degrees in computers
and business.
Leaving Certificate standard including
Leaving Certificate Applied. All applicants will be interviewed.

One day per week throughout the year students obtain work in commercial areas.
Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC).
Marino College has a direct link with National College of Ireland (NCI) where students can progress to a diploma or degree course. Alternatively, students have the opportunity to advance to the FETAC Level 6 Course - Advanced Certificate in Administration at this College.
Successful students will have the skills to meet the
demands of the modern office and will be in a position to seek employment in a
wide range of organisations such as Banks, Commercial Companies, Local Authority
Offices and Hospitals. Also in recent years students are using this course to progress
to other Third Level courses especially in the Dublin Institute of Technology and National College of Ireland in order to obtain a Business Degree. |
