Agricultural Science
Agricultural Science is a subject that explores the principles behind farming, food production, animal and plant biology alongside environmental sustainability.
The course combines classroom learning, practical investigations, laboratory work and field study trips. Ag Science is suitable for students with an interest in learning about environmental science, food science, animal science, veterinary medicine, horticulture, biotechnology and much more.
It develops practical skills, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities and scientific literacy and is assessed through a written examination (75%) and an Individual Investigative Study (25%) project.
No farming background is required to study Agricultural Science.
The subject is open to all students with an interest in science and the natural world.
